THE ESSENCE OF SPIRITUALITY

Posted by Unknown at 4:03 AM

“Spirituality”- the term itself is a perplexing one. We often mistakenly assume a spiritual person as the one sitting in front of an idle and reiterating mantras. But in true sense, spirituality is a state of mind where we consider ourselves as a soul with a body rather than a body with a soul.
Spirituality gives us a sense of invisible guidance which exists around us eternally. It is beyond the limit of our five senses. We often call this guidance as intuition and this inner insight should never be taken lightly or ignored. Intuition is an indiscernible knock on our mind to behave in a certain way or to avoid something. Though inexplicable, intuition is truly a factor of our lives.
Spirituality should not portray an impression of detaching ourselves from rest of the world. It just makes us conscious of an invisible dimension of the physical world. The dimension which defies birth and death. The dimension which is not governed by the rules of the physical world. The dimension which never leaves us unaccompanied. The dimension which imperceptibly defines our lives.
Spirituality focuses on self-empowerment rather than concentrating on external power. External power is in the dominance of and control on the physical world while spiritual power is the power of love. A constructive mind-set and a mind at peace have the supreme power greater than any physical power. Spiritual power gives us the pleasure of knowing that external power is not necessary to be at harmony with ourselves.
Spirituality defines connection with other individuals. It inculcates in us that our existence influences the presence of every human we share this earth with. Being connected eliminates the need of conflict, confession and confrontation. It constrains us from judging people. It makes us understand that we cannot define others by our judgement; we only have the power of judging and defining ourselves.
Spirituality does not believe in cause and effect world. It is motivated by ethics and serenity. It appreciates a life of purpose; a life of lovingly serving others.
When we know such state of mind of spirituality, we often know that from such state of mind flows the miracle making magic.
Remember:
“Spirituality is a domain of awareness.”
