FROM SCHOOL TO COLLEGE

Posted by Unknown at 4:36 AM
Straight from the corridors of school, arrives a student;
nervous but still ready to face this new world with excitement.
Facing the transition from senior most to the junior most;
getting this new freedom is what excites him the most.
Somewhere down the memory lane, stay his school friends;
leaving them behind, he is ready to enter this planet of new trends.
Away from home, i reached the hostel of our college, bidding adieu to parents, tears in eyes,butterflies in stomach, really nervous about the first day of college, this is what flashes in my mind when i think about the commencement of my college life. School, which is the best part of our student life, we depart from it to begin with the new and even better part of our life. We enter our college. There are many questions and fears in our mind. Everything looks so alienated.But in a small corner of our heart, we are pretty excited about it. There is a vast variation in our school and college lives. As soon as we listen to the name of a school, the whole idea of rules and discipline rotates in our mind. But college provides us a life of freedom, where our own decision determines the destiny of our future life.From a protected environment, we move to a place where we are totally independent. We see dreams about our forthcoming life in school and we realize them in college. We start taking our lives seriously as these four years transform an immature child to a responsible professional. but is that it? Of course not! College is a place where we spend the most enjoyable years of our existence. From the fresher's party to farewell we enjoy each day. From small crushes we get into serious relationships. We laugh at each other, make fun of friends but standby each other when a lecturer scolds one. We make some lifetime friends who slowly fill the vacuum created by our school friends.
Though school remains the best part of our childhood, college slowly becomes the best part of our life. Though school teaches us how to make friends, college gifts us with some invaluable friends. Though school teaches us to follow rules, college helps us being independent. Though school life symbolizes innocence, college life features maturity. Though in school we dream about our career, in college we make them come true.
School builds us up, college makes that building functional.
